Happiness Begins with H

Things that make me happy:

Hearth – we have six open fireplaces and regularly use two. Nothing quite like hearing the logs crackle or watching the embers flicker.

Home – the first time I saw the pictures of this house I fell in love, but I didn’t think we could afford it. A few months later and I saw it again, only this time the price had dropped significantly… Two years later here we are in our wonderful, rambling Victorian villa. It needs plenty of TLC (e.g. the new roof we paid out for in the summer – ouch) but meantime we get to live in a storybook house!

Hugs from Chip

Having deep conversations about radio station frequencies with my dear Prince (and yes, he’s memorised them all).

Humour with Fluff – we share quite a dry sense of the ridiculous heehee

my Heavenly Father (couldn’t not mention Him)

Clearly my drawing leaves a lot to be desired but, God knows, from the moment I heave my bulk on dear old Balthazar’s back to the time I go to bed the same day, I wear a grin from ear to ear. And I’m so thankful for the opportunity to… I’m not sure how to say it… I’m thankful that I’m getting to be a kid again in a way that I never could in years gone by. It’s great!

H is for healing. Hurrah!

    • I got a second hand Kindle for Christmas and I’ve put a drawing app on it. It’s slightly better than drawing with a mouse. Not that I can draw, but it has its charms. How’s the novel coming along, Laura?

      • I finished the second draft on Christmas Eve; because I changed so many major things in the storyline, this draft was almost like a first draft. I couldn’t use the 1st draft for reference after the first 1/3 of the book. I hope that I can get back to blogging on a regular basis now!
